Who are we?

We are a self-organised group based in London working on collective and anti-authoritarian ways to support ourselves and others who are experiencing distress. We want to build health autonomy from state institutions and other structurally oppressive systems of ‘care’.

What do we do?

The core of our group is a regular ‘supporters’ support’ group, developing accountability and self-critique around the various forms of unpaid emotional care work we do.

RARA is holding free and open discussions and training days in early 2020. Our first one-day training will be exploring how to support people who hear voices and/or have unusual beliefs, using an approach that was developed by people with lived experience. Other upcoming events are a discussion around suicide/suicidal feelings, a herbal medicine and acupuncture skill-share, and practical anti-repression (Mental Health Act / sectioning, courts, arrests).

How can I get involved?

Sign up to our mailing list to find out about our events and training days. Please let us know if you have skills or resources to share. We are open to collaborations, so please get in touch by writing us at:
